SEO Article Writing - Are You Back Link Crazy

It is very important for me that I generate as many back links as I possibly can, and it should be just as important for you. Back links are very important for search engine page ranking. Page ranking is the method used by Google and other reputable search engines to rank your web page.


Each web page is ranked for popularity and relevance. The higher the page rank, the higher the website will be ranked in the search engine results.

There are other aspects to website optimization which come into play, but when all things are equal, page rank is the most important. For instance, if you had two identical websites both selling the same products in the same niche, you may find that one is ranked higher than the other in the search results. This is because of various elements including the title of the first web page, the keyword density of the page and its content, as well as keyword or description tags.

If you generate enough back links to your website, then your site will achieve a page rank of between three and five, which is very common. In general page ranking is between zero and 10. Ten being the highest and extremely difficult to achieve because of Google’s complicated and secret logarithmic scale.

So, what is a reasonable number of back links? Well, you can achieve top 10 rankings as I have done with as few as four inbound links and as many as a hundred back links.

So, how many should you aim for? You should aim for as many back links as you possibly can, and you could achieve this by generating brand new articles which contain a resource box which will drive traffic to your site.

If you can achieve a page rank of between three and five, then it’s very likely that your website will be ranked highly in the search engine results every time somebody chooses to search your keywords.

There are indeed other methods you can use to generate back links, and these include website submissions to web directories, link exchanges, link purchases or simply asking the owner of other websites for a reciprocal exchange.

In my personal opinion, the best method of generating huge back links is to generate articles. Submit articles to article directories and submit your website to website directories. Do this for a period of three months, monitoring and measuring as you go, and you will be happily surprised at the amount of traffic you generate and the improvement in your page rank within the search engines.
